About Us

Equality Consulting specializes in community-based research and consulting services dedicated to addressing health and social inequities. Our focus lies in the intersections of oppression, violence, substance use, and mental health issues. Our expertise is in creating, implementing, and improving health and social service responses to the most complex of issues.

Equality Consulting is led by owner and Principal Consultant, Lynda Dechief, who possesses a diverse range of training and experience. We also collaborate with a network of highly skilled colleagues, ensuring that we assemble the right expertise for each project's unique requirements.

Equality Consulting is driven by a belief that inequality and injustice can and should be eradicated, that this work should be valued, and that we can all be part of making the world a safer and healthier place for those being marginalized, stigmatized, and abused.

Equality Consulting works on projects small and large, with non-profit organizations, health research centres, and government departments. Our niche is facilitating the development and implementation of collaborative health and social supports for multifaceted issues that require a multidisciplinary response. We also offer facilitation, evaluation, grant writing, program planning, needs and feasibility assessment, community mapping, literature review, writing and editing in academic and plain language, workshop development and delivery, strategic planning, and strategic doing.

Equality Consulting is small, passionate, and professional, with a client-centred approach. We strive to understand the unique needs and goals of each organization we work with. Our work is participatory, collaborative, and driven by a commitment to social justice. With a focus on action and tangible results, we remain down-to-earth, humble, and hopeful. We value both the process and outcomes of our work and draw inspiration from the individuals we have the privilege to work with. We look forward to working with you towards a more equitable and inclusive society.
